A step-by-step guide to complete start-up registration process

Start-up owners have a lot of dreams. However, the first step towards fulfilling these dreams is to follow the registration steps well. Those struggling to register their start-up or lacking knowledge may go through the steps below, explaining step by step details of start-up registration process.

Step 1: Profile creation

First of all, the company needs to establish as either a Pvt Ltd, Partnership firm, or LLP before moving to be registered as a start-up. In this context, the user has to visit the Start-up India official site and provide complete detail to fill the form.

· An OTP is generated and sent to the email; provide the same, along with other detail to create a Startup India profile.

· Post creation of profile, the startup becomes eligible to apply for different types of programs.

Step 2: Obtaining DPIIT Recognition

Once the profile is created, the next step is about getting Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade Recognition or DPIIT recognition. This recognition is crucial in terms of availing various benefits and resources. For DPIIT Recognition, the new users have to click on ‘Get Recognised’ option. Similarly, the existing users need to tap on to ‘Dashboard button’ before tapping on ‘DPIIT Recognition’.

This makes the ‘Recognition Application Detail’ page out. Here simply tap on ‘View Details’ section within the Registration Details. Provide detail to fill in the ‘Start-up Recognition Form’, and then tap on ‘Submit’.

Essential documents

One needs to produce below documents for completing the registration.

· Certificate as proof whether it’s a Pvt Ltd, LLP, or Partnership Firm

· Documents in relation with the Directors

· The likes of link of website, video, pitch deck, etc.

· Patent documents and those related to trademark

· PAN card number

One can expect a recognition certificate within a couple of days after providing complete details. To obtain the recognition number, start-up registration is essential for all legal startups India.
